My first contact with this dimesale creator was version 2.0, which I recently bought, and I was very pleased with. However, it was PHP based with no MySQL required -i.e. just php files to upload to your server-, so security could be an issue especially if one was not careful to follow the instructions and rename folders and files to make them hard to guess.
Even though it was a nice product and easy to work with, what really caught my attention was that shortly after I bought version 2.0 I received an e-mail from Joel letting his costumers know that he was already working heavily in an upgrade for the script, which would greatly improve it so I was really looking forward to this upgrade.
And the upgrade came… and what an upgrade! Now the script works with MySQL tables for improved security, One Time Offer integration and personalization -a personal favorite-, ability to choose the commission percentage (1%-100%), Intelligent Campaign Creation, and better tools for tracking and performance both for the seller and the affiliates.
Now, these are the reasons why I really like this script:
-Costumer support: this one really won me! I just can’t remember the last time I saw such a good and comprehensive costumer support. On one side, you have a set of videos –over 60 Megs!- that take you by the hand over the installation of the dimesale creator which are very easy to understand and follow, even for the “technologically impaired” like myself. It is very likely that this videos are all you need to have it installed and running smoothly, but if you run into problems, there are also support help files & FAQ with detailed instructions on how to set-up and configure this script, and if you still can’t get over your problem, there’s also a forum where you can get help from Joel himself!
-Commitment: Joel is really committed to this script and I’ve been witness to that. He’s not the kind of guy who just sells the product and forgets about it, he’s always trying to improve on it. In fact, I’ve been receiving several updates for version 3.0 so it just keeps getting better and better. Just take a look at the forum and you’ll understand what I’m talking about, Joel really takes care of his costumers.
-Enhanced security through MySQL table. Just fill the templates for the salesletter, OTO and download pages and the information is stored in the MySQL table to avoid snoopers.
-Instant Paypal button creation along with download protection through Paypal’s IPN technology: all you need is your Paypal e-mail, it’s THAT easy!
-Full built-in affiliate program: you have the ability to let every costumer become an affiliate with complete control over the commission percentage you want to pay. This works both for the front end offer and your OTO! Also, your affiliates have individual log ins so they can keep track of their statistics.
-Full control over the price increment per sale: you choose how much the price will increment after each sale, set it up once and the script takes care of the increments automatically for you. You can also set the script so that after a certain price is reached it won’t go up anymore, so that it doesn’t get too expensive and make people lose interest.
-Easy to use, comprehensive admin panel: from your admin panel you can check conversion statistics on both your front end offer and the OTO, full statistics on the sales, affiliate performance statistics, and a very simple way to mass pay your affiliates through Paypal, just choose a month and click a button and the script will produce the file you need to pay ALL your affiliates at once!
-Ability to create multiple dime sales on a single website: Just create an unique pair of download pages and one time offers for each campaign and you’re ready to go, each dimesale with a separate sales/affiliate url and a dynamic list of each unique campaign, commission structure and affiliate url for affiliates.
-Personalized OTO and e-mail confirmation with download link: not only you thank your costumers by their name, but also if they forget to click the “return to merchant” button they still get the download link on their e-mail.
