Always Try to Look on the Bright Side

Hi all and thanks for reading!

Last night I went out with some friends, we stayed out until late and when I was heading home I got mugged. It was really scary, because I could feel how one of the muggers trying to cut me with something that felt like a knife; I don’t know if it was that it wasn’t sharp or what but if it had been I’m not sure if I could be writting this post now.

I was near my office so I got in and called the cops but they couldn’t find them. Luckily all they got was my wallet and I never carry money in it, so I lsot no money, but now I have to get a new ID, credit cards, etc. and that’s a pain, but I’m very grateful that it’s only that. After I was closing my office, a saw a couple of friends near and asked them if they could give me a ride home, they said yes so I grabbed my laptop, which I had left in my office and went home.

I went home to get some rest only to receive a call in the morning from my secretary to let me know that someone broke into my office and stole the fax machine. It isn’t such a big deal, just a fax machine, but when you put it al together…

I got really really angry at first, it really worries me how unsafe the streets have grown, but I started thinking…

I had left my laptop in my office, if I hadn’t been mugged and seen my friends I would’ve probably left it there, and it would’ve been stolen. The muggers tried to hurt me but couldn’t, and all they got was an empty wallet. And all the people that broke into my office got was a fax machine.

So this scenario could’ve meant even my death, but in the end, putting it all together, I’m a very lucky guy!

Always look on the right side of things! Is it easy? Most of the times it isn’t. But I’m sure that if you look hard, sometimes really hard, you’ll find it. Just try too look at situations as a whole and from different points of view, and you’ll see that things are not always as bad as they seem.

And, always remember, it’s always darker before dawn :-)

On another note, Reed Floren’s The IM Gifts Giveaway is nearing it’s end, so if you haven’t signed up I recommend you do so before it’s too late! Here’s the link:

http://www.emarketingresourcesonline.com/recommends/freeimgifts

And tomorrow I’ll let you know about a new Giveaway I’ll be involved with!

Well, that’s all for today, take care and have a great night!

Giveaway Events: Do They Really Work?

Hi all and thanks for reading!

In my first posts, I wrote about how Stone Evan’s Plug-In-Profit Site was my first experience with Internet Marketing. As I started, I began subscribing to newsletters from many Internet Marketers to get a better feel about what IM was all about.

Shortly I began receiving invites to Giveaway Events. Of course, at first I had no idea about what they were, so I took a look. I joined a few and was simply overwhelmed about the tons of products I could get for free! Then, I began to be invited to join as a contributor but at first I passed up all the invitations because I was simply scared to death to be a contributor. I mean, how could I ever compete with all the big names I saw were contributing gifts? It would be a lost cause, or so I thought.

As I kept reading and learning about Internet Marketing, I began to be more confident and decided to join a giveaway as a contributor. I *think* it was the Easter JV Giveaway. The thing is things went so well that I decided to join a whole bunch of other giveaways, that’s why I don’t recall which was the first.

So do giveaways work? That depends…

If you organize it:
First of all you need good software or a good script to manage it. And by good software or script I mean made specifically to run this kind of events. I haven’t used any software or script yet because I’ve never organized this type of events, but most of the ones I’ve seen lately use Giveaway Manager 2 by Brad Smith and Guido Nussbaum. These guys have hosted this kind of events and I’ve been a contributor in a few, and it has always worked great. So even though I haven’t used it, I´ve seen it work and it works great. In fact, if I ever host a giveaway I’ll buy it; it’s not cheap, but it seems to be well worth it!

So what can you expect if you host this type of events?
If you take your time to promote it properly and have due diligence finding good contributors, you can expect tons of subscribers. That’s why you should get good software/script to manage your giveaway, so you can get more time to promote and find good contributors. Also, you should put your thinking cap on and think about prizes, rewards, competitions, etc. to make it more attractive for your contributors and make them really want to be on your event.

Also, you should have a one time offer, not having one is really leaving money on the table. So, worked properly, you can also make a nice amount of money. Ussually, in giveaway events contributors are required to have a minimum of referrals to prevent their gift from being deleted, so it’s becoming ussual in recent giveaways to make a one time offer that ensures that your gift won’t be deleted no matter how few referrals you get. Good idea :-)

If you’re a contributor:
You’ll get subscribers. Period. You’ll get them because you will get them. Of course, this is provided that you set up things the right way and not give a crappy gift. Maybe not hundreds, but you’ll get subscribers. That’s the main benefit from giveaway events, but it doesn’t have to be the only one.

Of course, first you should get an autoresponder. You need to keep your susbscribers’ information somewhere right? And saving their information to contact them manually is plain silly. You need an autoresponder with good deliverability, so your e-mails don’t get eaten by the spam gods. So far, the best ones I know of are Aweber (the best in my opinion) and GetResponse, but recently Aweber raised their fees quite a bit so if you’re on a tight budget you might want to stick with GetResponse.

Also, you should fill your autoresponder campaign with a few messages -preferably no sales pitches yet- so you start to build a relationship with your subscribers, get to know them and get them to know you.

So basically what you have to do is join the giveaway as a contributor, confirm your e-mail address, log in, and fill the details about your gift. But before you enter your details, make sure you have set up the page where people will sign up to get your gift, the page to thank them for opting in, and the page where they will download your gift. If you’ll make a one time offer -which you should-, make sure to have it set up correctly too. Try to make it as easy as you can for people to get your gift, the smoother you make your system run, the more proffesional you’ll appear both to people who join the giveaway and event hosts. The pages don’t have to be anything complicated, but try to make it appealing both visually and about the gift description to entice people to get your gift.

Always remember to check the gift you plan to give away to make sure you can actually give it away, check the product’s license for restrictions.

If you just want the gifts:
Well get them! Go ahead, sign up and get your gifts :-) However, always try to be very organized. What I do is make a new folder named after the giveaway, and subfolders with categories related to the gifts, so I keep them organized, help prevent gift/information overload and other such disasters and can check more easily to prevent downloading the same gift from different giveaways. Also, don’t try to simply download gifts for the sake of it, try to be selective or all you’ll get is wasted hard drive space.

So giveaway events really mean a win/win situation for all involved, and can be a very profiatble experience but keep in mind your subscriber signed up to get free stuff so they are not necessarily the best source of buyers for your products, but some always do, that’s why it’s important to build a relationship with them, so they begin to trust you.

Well that’s all for now, I hope you found this post interesting and, as always, feel free to share it :-)

Right now there’s a giveaway going on at:

http://www.emarketingresourcesonline.com/recommends/fathersdaygiveaway

It’s a giveaway mainly comprised of Private Label Rights products, some unrestricted, which you can get for your personal use or to use later as gifts if you join a giveaway.

And if you want to get your feet in the water, here’s a great giveaway from my friend Reed Floren which will start next Friday. His last giveaway was a huge success so this is a great opportunity to build your list, or to start one if you haven’t already. I really recommend you join it, it’s very easy once you get the hang of it and it can be really fun :-)

Moving the Free Line - continued

Hi all and thanks for reading!

Well today I want to follow-up on my post of yesterday. First of all, for all the dads out there, I hope you had a great time! I have a son and I know I did :-)

So what´s this “moving the free line” thing? Well let’s say you’re openning a pizza joint. Since you want people that you make the best pizza around, you offer them a free slice so they can get a taste of your product for free. Then there are two options -kinda obvious-:

1) They like it.

2) They don’t like it.

So…

1) If they like it… great! You have a new customer, someone who’ll buy pizza from you, and probably tell his friends or invite them to your joint. Ah the power of word-of-mouth, free advertisement at it’s best :-)

2) If they don’t like it… ask them why! Then improve what’s wrong and invite them for another free slide after the improvements. You’re showing them you care.

Some months ago, a friend of mine opened a bar. All of my friends checked it out, and it’s really cool. But we were very curious about how it would turn out because the local he rented for the bar, well, it’s as it was damned! Few businesses that rented the place survived. It’s weird because it has great location, ample space, well it’s a great place.

My friend makes great pizza. I mean it. I’m a pizza lover and have been since I can remember so I know what good pizza is. So, a bar that sells pizza. At first, I don’t remember more than two or three people buying more than a slice in the whole night -he opens early and closes 3 a. m.-, but he still had the bar to make up for it.

So one Sunday we go to the bar and read a sign “Sundays -free pizza-. He brings the free pizza, everyone eats and everyone loves it! So we go and ask him if he has a special price for the second slice and he replies: “No. Today all the pizza is free“. Wow! And he kept doing it ever since! On Sundays he refuses to sell pizza, you get it for free. Then what happened? When it’s not Sunday, everyone buys pizza!

He has a product that he’s confident in and people might like, he let´s people know -in this case taste- the product for free, and he gives you one of the best guarantees out there… you don’t pay a dime for it!

Now he has plenty of customers, but not any kind of customers, loyal customers! Customers that love his product, buy it, and recommend it to their friends! But that’s nothing new, it’s actually one of the oldest practices in marketing.

I remember recently receiving an e-mail from an Internet Marketer I respect about this subject. He sent me a link to a video where he said he “discussed” his thoughts about the free line: I was rather dissappointed that his “thoughts” -I expected something deeper- were basically that “moving the free line” was only about getting your e-mail address and that it was b.s.

Well if you’ve read my last post and read this one this far, I guess it’s clear that I dissagree. First of all, every Internet Marketer wants your e-mail address, not just “free line movers”. A lot of Internet Marketers have great newsletters that actually offer great content but everyone, sooner or later, will try to pitch you a product. In fact, this marketer’s video was actually a sales pitch for his product so yes, I was very dissapointed.

Internet Marketing is filled with free products that marketers give away to establish a relationship with a customer, but “moving the free line” as it’s been used lately refers to products given away of such quality that was never seen before. I never thought I would get my hands on the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript for free! That promotion is over by the way.

There’s also an interesting psychological part to it… if x marketer’s product is sooo good, why does he give it away for free? In the end, it isn’t about showing you the quality of the product itself for itself, it’s to impress upon you -love this frase, thanks to Mike Filsaime for it!- the kind of quality you can expect from his products. In other words, he wants you to psychologically associate quality with his products.

Nice uh? :-)

There are a couple of promotions out there now that you might like. Are they “moving up the line”? You be the judge…

Keith Wellman’s and co. have released their Autopilot Sales Formula, which you can check out here:

http://www.autopilotsalesformula.com/go.html

That’s a direct link by the way. Why? Because It seems people have had problems with Keith’s products, and I don’t know his previous products that well to make an informed opinion. I know some, used some and liked them, but not as much as to have a well-informed opinion. You can always google him and the product -I recommend the use of quotations to get more exact results- and see what you can find. That, in fact, is a very healthy thing to do before buying anything online.

Michael Rasmussen’s MiniSite Secrets Exposed is a free membership site that I actually joined today, bacause I’ve joined other of his free membership sites-it’s not that I’m cheap, but who doesn’t like free?! :-) -  and I’ve always liked them. Now I wouldn’t say it’s quite a “free line mover” but it’s certainly worth to check out. Here’s the link:

http://www.emarketingresourcesonline.com/recommends/mspexposed

Well that’s all for now, I really hope this post and, if you did, please make use of the little buttons under it and share it! :-)

Take care and until next time!

Moving the Free Line

Hi all and thanks for reading!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE!

First of all, I want to apologize for not having updated my blog in such a long time, but I’ve been extremely busy with work and downloading tons of products related with Internet Marketing, but that’s a story for another time because I wan to tell you my views on this “moving the free line” concept.

Actually it’s not new. Interet Marketers have been giving freebies to gain subscribers, customers, etc. for as long as I can remember, but there was always a line they wouln’t cross… they would’t give you their prime products especially products they use themselves.

I remember receiving an e-mail from John Reese -I’m on his list and if you aren’t you should- where talked about how this has been changing lately, how Internet Marketers have been “moving” that line and offering products of incredible value for free.

It’s funny, but not long after I read that e-mail, I started to receive offers that I just couldn’t believe.

First, there was Jeff Johnson from the Underground Training Lab, with a really cool blogging SEO software and a lot of great videos on Internet Marketing of outstanding value that you could get for free.

Then -and I really loved this one- Mike Filsaime’s 7 Figure Secrets offer, this one really blew me away! I’m pretty sure that if you belong to any list related to Internet Marketing you’ve heard about Mike. So, if you do, I’m pretty sure that you heard about his Butterfly Marketing Manuscript and the Butterfly Marketing Script. I remember getting tons of e-mails promoting his system, and it made a lot of people a lot on money. The complete system is rather expensive at $1497, but it seems it was worth it.

Part of this system was the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript, where he explained his system. Only this book is $97, and even at that price I really recommend it. Why do I recommed it? Because I have read it, I have it. And how much did I pay for it? Less than $12.

How!? You probably know by now due to the heavy promotion going on, but if not, please do yourself a favor and go here:

http://www.emarketingresourcesonline.com/recommends/7figuresecrets

And hurry, because it’s supposed to end today

Well, gotta run now, tomorrow I’ll try to make a new post discussing the “moving” of the free linea bit more.

Take care and hopefully see you tomorrow!

To your success,
Antonio Gutierrez

Instant Dimesale Creator 3.0 Private Label Rights Available!

Hi all and thanks for reading!

As you can see from the title of this post, Joel Holtzman is making available Private Label Rights -PLR- to his Instant Dimesale Creator 3.0. Now, as his salespage says, it’s actually more than just a dimesale script, it’s actually a great solution to automate your sales process with an affiliate program included.

But getting PLR rights is amazing! Not only would you have the option to sell your branded version of the script, you also heve the chance to hire a programmer -or use yours if you already have one- and improve it!

I love the script as it is, but there are a few features I can think of that it lacks, so for the ridiculous price its selling for right now I can grab it and have it customized with as many features I can think of!

So I don’t have to reinvent this wheel, I HAVE IT, I only have to improve on it!

Or I can sell it as it is and keep all the profits to myself.

That’s the beauty of PLR, your imagination -ok, budget comes in here but you don’t have to do it all at once- is the limit.

And since Joel won’t be selling it after April 1st -his birthday by the way-, this is your chance to grab it, play with it, and get creative if you buy PLR.

All for this update, until next one and take care!

eBay changes policy

Hi all and thanks for reading!

In case you don’t know yet, eBay has made a big change in their policy that will affect all people selling digital products…

Basically, you won’t be able to do so anymore come March 31!

Since I’ve never used eBay to sell digital products it doesn’t really affect me, but some people do so it’s worth to mention.

Here’s the quote from eBay:

“Digital goods are often reproduced at little to no cost to the seller. On eBay, this creates the potential for Feedback Manipulation (both real and perceived). To preserve the integrity of the Feedback system, effective March 31 all goods that can be digitally downloaded or transferred electronically must be listed using the Classified Ads format.

Using the Classified Ads format, sellers receive a 30-day ad at a fixed price. This solution enables sellers to continue to market their digital goods on eBay; however, because Classified Ad listings are a lead generation tool and do not result in transactions that go through eBay, Feedback cannot be exchanged between buyer and seller.

Sellers who wish to continue to offer digital goods can do so by selecting the “Everything
Else> Information Products” category in the
“Sell Your Item” form and choosing the
“Classified Ads” format (not auction-style or fixed price). For more information about the Classified Ads format, please read “Advertising with Classified Ads” at:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/f-ad.html“

So what can you do? Here are some interesting ideas:

Update on Instant Dimesale Creator 3.0

Hi all and thanks for reading!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Joel Holtzman made a change to his selling plans on Instant Dimesale Creator 3.0. Its price was supposed  to increase by a whopping 75% on April 1st but Joel changed his mind…

Joel will stop selling it on April 1st!

So from then on, the only way to get it will be from someone who bought PLR rights, which evidently are more expensive so the price might increase a lot.

Is th script good? Yes. Should you buy it? I know I did! Should you buy it now? That’s up to you, you moght not be able to get it later especially at this price, so better be safe than sorry.

So that’s my little update, I hope you take advantage of this script at the discounted price because as Joel wrote in his last e-mail, “I’ve decided that if people can see the value of a full sales automation tool for under $25, they will grab it. If not, it needs to pass them by”. So don’t let it pass you by!

I’m off to my Squidoo lens to post this update, so take care and until next one!

To your success,
Antonio Gutierrez

P.S./ There’s a big change coming up March 31st in eBay’s policy, I’d recommend you head there and read about it or stay tuned for my post about it tomorrow!
